Took a few variations for the tummy-covering thing. I planned a shirt with openings on the sides to emphasize volume and still cover her in a casual look, but just cutting two circles from a denim outfit didn't work - you have to consider her tummy's weight. Simple cut-outs in denim would tear over time, so I remembered those maternity jeans some women wear - the ones with the sleeve thing to go under their tummies. So, you can see the sleeve cupped under her tummy there, then I made the upper strap in the middle that attaches with buttons, then gave it all a beaded silver lining so it wouldn't look careless and seems strong enough to hold her extra weight.

I tried making a hole for her belly button to show out, but that looked out-of-place, so I left the hole, but covered it with the inch strap. Not much went into her jacket, clearly. It's just there to complement everything else.
